Curcumin, The Golden Spice, is a polyphenol which has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years and has been pretty well studied for it’s positive health benefits. ( 1 2 ) It has a wide range of health benefits as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogen and may even prevent and inhibit cancer. ( 3 )

You can take turmeric as a supplement or purchase as a powder. To be effectively absorbed, make sure your supplement contains black pepper (piperine). Turmeric chelates iron and metals from the body and can cause anemia. I plan to take turmeric twice daily during detox and as needed following detox in my cessation. And, oh! You can also mix with coQ10 and apply to your face as a mask.
