We’ve all heard a lot about Vitamin D since the start of Covid as it’s known to boost the immune system, improve lung function and build muscles. Having adequate levels of vitamin D have been linked to healthy blood pressure. Vitamin D (or as I like to call it, Vitamin Dopamine) is an essential vitamin needed for your body to produce Dopamine helping to regulate and balance mood.
Vitamin D3 should be taken with meals and too much can lead to problems like hardening of arteries. You can also get vitamin d from food sources and natural sunlight and getting outside. I take generally take D3 with lunch, or if I’m having something for breakfast, I may take it then. I never take it more than once per day, and I skip it somedays.
The upper limit for Vitamin D is 4000IU.
